Im wondering if I should buy a snowboard now, or wait.?
Im going to buy a snowbaord soon. And on all the sites everything is on sale. Now im wondering if I should buy now, or wait until the summer. Maybe with the bad economy they will be really cheap this summer?

ok first, know that this knowledge is coming from someone who has purchased snowboards and snowboard gear throughout the year from various websites and yes, a lot of places do have great sales during off season, but they also have a limited selection during these times. The reason there are great sales now during peak season is because it IS peak season…much like how presents will be cheapest during the holiday season is the same concept on why snowboard equipment is cheap now as well. With the exception of a certain stingy over-rated/over-priced company which starts with a B, and ends with -urton, I’ve seen great deals on $400+ boards going for $200 and sometimes less! Probably better to wait until the summer months but if you find a really good deal, I would say go for it

I think you should wait. Things are getting really cheap and fast so by the time you snowboard you should probably be able to buy it at a reasonable price. Another thing you could do is if you snowboard at a place that rents out boards than you can do that, save up your money, wait for the prices to go down and get a really nice one. Hope I helped.

From my experience I have found the end of the season a great time to purchase new gear at great prices. Unless you have to have the "latest" stuff (which tends to be the same stuff w/ a different look) definitely start shopping now.

Just think for the same price you would pay for lets say "Burton" you could get one of these decks w/ bindings?Keep in mind 5150 is a sister company of RIDE snowboard. This means you can get a quality RIDE deck/bindings for a lesser price with 5150 graphix. Something to think about???
Regardless if you’re looking to save money and use the savings for say a season pass (which is also a bargain to purchase at the end of the season) you can’t go wrong buying now.

a lot of this seasons 2009 gear will go on sale again during the summer and the beginning of next year, its up to you

I would buy it now, the snowboarding season is getting near the end and next season at the start everything is always expensive. Just buy one now because you can get alot of good deals.
