my cousin wants to start snowboarding and I want to know a good one and a cheap one.

Walmart and Target have beginner boards for 20$ Can’t beat that!!! They are plastic though. But my son loves it.

It has a snow board thing that plugs directly into the televiosion. I was thinking of getting it for my son for Christmas. I was just wondering if anyone else had tried it yet. It’s only $50, so I’m afraid it’ll be kind of cheap, or have crappy graphics, or something.

I’m not from IA, but I’ll try to answer your question. When I googled "snowboard" and "Dubuque" I found a page that listed Reality Check, so my best guess is yes they do sell snowboards. If you want to check out some boards online, two sites that I like are.. http://www.the-house.com and http://www.dogfunk.com

Also, if you go to http://www.futuresnowboarding.com there’s a board finder that seems to list every board that exists for this year with the specs and everything. You can’t buy them from there, but it’s nice just to look at sometimes.

Hey I’m new to snowboarding just had my first lesson and love it I’m thinking of going serious but don’t know what size / board i need
I’m ~6′ 190lbs size 13 boot and don’t want to pay crazy amounts of money just yet

I would suggest a Ride Fleetwood – about a 160cm. Its a great board that you would be able to improve on for years. For bindings, I suggest the Ride EX.

i want to paint my board but i dont want it to look like crap after two days. is there a way?

I don’t think there is. The surface of the board is not porous and won’t hold paint, it’ll chip and flake off pretty quickly. If you want to change the look of it get some stickers or a new board.
