Light weights and fast reps. You are trying to create endurance, not bulk.

Such as Nordic skiing, Ski Jumping, Cross Country Skiing, Telemark skiing, Alpine skiing, etc.? I’ve gained a large interest in skiing after watching a video of someone ski down a beautiful mountain on Colorado, and now I’m interested in not only going skiing, but learning more about it?

In skiing you have two distinct categories, Alpine and Nordic. Everything else is a sub-category.

Nordic Skiing encompasses "Cross-Country" and all of it’s various forms, ski-jumping, and telemark skiing. While all are very different they share one common factor…the ski is attached to the boot at the toe only and the heel is free. If you want to know more about these individual sports I suggest starting with Wikipedia and looking up the massive amount of info available there. Aside from ski-jumping, Nordic skiing is a type of skiing used for travel. True, racing and recreation have turned it into a sport, but essentially this type of skiing has its roots in viable forms of mountain and winter travel conditions. With nordic bindings you can easily move up and down mountains, hills, and fields.

Any type of skiing that involves binding that locks both the toe and the heel is Alpine. The sub-categories of Alpine Skiing are enormous. The traditional "downhill" skiing events such as Slalom Giant Slalom Super-G, and Downhill attract skiers who like speed and skilled turns. Freestyle skiing encompasses everything from Slopestyle tricks, to Aerials to Mogul Skiing, and the venerable Ski Ballet! Additionally, Alpine Touring and Monoskiing are Alpine sub-categories as well. For the most part, Alpine disciplines are recreational based. Alpine Touring being the exception since it actually evolved from Telemark skiing.

This is a great question, but way too lengthy to answer here. For more info, start here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skiing

Look at Line Chronics
I have them, they are amazing on just about everything you can throw at them. Groomers, Park, Rails, Moguls, Crud, and probably powder (but i don’t have any place with any kind of powder near by so i wouldn’t know.) This skis will rip black diamonds and pop you so high off lips your boots will get scared.

If you have any questions about this ski you can send me an email

Tomorrow its my class ski trip. I have a 3 hour lesson, but I am afraidof the lift,i dont want to fall off im scared to jump off and ski, its my first time in the snow, soo you can tell its my first time skiing. Help meee!

Its basically impossible to fall off the chairlift. If you’re still scared go to the sides and hold on (go to the right if you wanna go on the right side of the slope and go to the left if you wanna go to the left side). When you get off just keep your ski tips up and go down the tiny hill at the end of the lift, then try to turn. First don’t get frustrated. Second, either take lessons or learn from a friend. Only ski on a green run (green being the easiest run you can go on), unless you get really good (and I mean really good) that day you can go on blues or blacks. The first time I went skiing I wasn’t that good. Make sure you wear a helmet. Depending on where you go watch out for crazy snowboarders. Make sure you have good equipment and warm clothes, because if you’re cold you’ll get frustrated. Don’t get poles unless you know how to do nice clean turns. If you don’t know how to turn you can ski pizza (pizza is where you don’t turn and go straight down, do this by putting the tips of your ski’s a couple inches apart you’ll go slower that way). Don’t cut people in line at the lifts. If its your turn in line wait for the chair lift in front of you and then go
