Do you have to know the basics of snowboarding, to enter the burton academy?

I dont know how to snowboard and i want to. But theres a couple progams with burton, The academy looks good but i dont know if you have to know how to snowboard already before you enter the academy. PLease help. Also im 12 so if you know about the progams, tell me whats best for me.

well it depends where you live, I’d check your local ski/snowboard resort and check for lesons there, the burton academy is really expensive

    Honestly, it’s overrated.

    Unless you plan on going to the X Games and trying to become a professional athlete, it’s unnecessary.

    Just go to your local mountain/ski resort club and get some lessons, either group or private. Then just go with some friends, the more you ride the better you become.
