What is the best family resort in myrtle beach?

Friday, April 30th, 2010

We are planning on taking our 2 kids ages 4 & 7 to Myrtle beach and was wondering what was the best resort for families? We would like to have a condo. I’m not very familier with Myrtle Beach so I need some help!!!!

I really like to stay at the Dayton House Resort. They don’t don’t have condos but they do have rooms that have like 2 queen beds and a murphy bed in them. It is a great family friendly resort. It has 3 pools, a lazy river, 3 hot tubs, and it is right on the ocean. Check out the website and you can let me know if I can help some more. http://www.daytonhouse.com/

What cases dryness during the winter, and how do I get beautiful silky hands?

Friday, April 30th, 2010

during the winter, my hands always get crackly, and very dry. I had been putting on vasaline(pertrolium jelly) for a few days, and i stopped for 2. Now my hands are bleeding cuz it’s dry. What causes dryness? lack or moisture or moisture during the winter? and why would there be no moisture. it’s cold.

and how do i make my hands beautiful again.
u mean petrollium gelly is bad? i’ve been using that.

I don’t hardly think petroleum jelly would be bad because it’s recommended for diaper rash.

The cold air definitely causes problems so always wear gloves when you are outside

Washing your hands a lot will dry them out and cause them to crack, too. Keep the water lukewarm when you do wash them so the hot water won’t dry your hands out so much.

If your hands are dry, the rest of your body is probably suffering, too. Don’t use deodorant soaps regularly, if at all, because they can cause a lot of skin problems because they dry your skin out way too much.

If you can use Ivory soap, try that and see if it works better for your showers and when you wash your hands. It is supposed to be the mildest soap and recommended for babies bath. What is odd is, my mother was allergic to it so buy one bar and try it first to see how your body reacts to it.

You might also try Cetaphil soap which is also very mild and may be more beneficial.

I have never, ever found lotions all that beneficial.

We have an all electric home and they are much drier inside, plus we live in TX where it’s dry so adding moisture to the air / our skin is a challenge at times. I don’t do too badly overall but my husband is having problems again with his legs itching all the time from the drier air and soaps he was using (Caress) (goes thru this every winter) so I bought some Aloe Vera Gel.

He used Gold Bond lotion (supposed to be really good) and another lotion we had here but they weren’t helping but the Aloe Vera Gel is doing the trick. He also now showers with the Cetaphil soap which doesn’t dry his skin out as much.

Put the Aloe Vera Gel on and then wear gloves at night as someone else suggested so it can work into the skin on your hands while you sleep plus the gloves will add a bit of moisture with the gel.

You might also want to put a very large (teflon*) pan of water on the stove and turn on the furnace fan (if you have one) and get some moisture in the air ~ be sure and watch the pan so it doesn’t go dry.

I put it on low heat and check it several times and add water as needed until we go to bed, then I turn it off and start it again the next day or sometimes wait for 3 days and do it again to keep moisture in the air throughout the week. You can add whole cloves to make the house smell good or add white vinegar to kill germs in the house.

Good luck ~ hope your hands feel better soon.

Is the Cap strap on Burton bindings comfortable and needed?

Friday, April 30th, 2010

I want to get either the Burton mission or Burton Freestyle.
Missions have the cap strap and freestyles don’t.
I know Missions have more response. I just want to know if the cap strap is comfortable.

Capstraps are fairly comfortable, but whether to get one or not does depend on your type of riding to an extent.

Try on the bindings either by rent or just in the store with your boots. I’ve ridden Missions before but have decided to go with a Rome binding because of various reasons, including the fact that I didn’t really want a capstrap. They’re not neccesarry, but if you think it’s comfortable then go for it. They were more of a scheme to bring out something new–you don’t need more support pushing on your toes, in a way it kind of restricts your ability to carve with ease.

If you’re worried about them, do what you can to try them out before you buy.

I got the Wii balance board for Christmas. Should I get Shaun White Snowboarding or Skate it to go with it?

What are good songs to listen to while skiing?

Friday, April 30th, 2010

I love skiing and I love music too, but I don’t have a good playlist on my ipod. I like almost every kind of music except for death metal and techno…so let me hear the suggestions!

I generally leave my MP3 at home. I’m usually with other people and we talk on the lift, so it’s a hassle to dig it out all the time to play with the volume.

I also hate people who f-around with their MP3 and phones WHILE they are getting on the lift. If you can’t hear the liftie and there is a problem, you could get hurt. I also really hate riding a lift with someone who has their earbuds jammed in and isn’t social. I don’t want to share life-stories, but it’s rude to not even say hello to the other person on the lift.

Having said that…I do listen to music when I ski alone too. So count me as part of the guilty, but I listen on a low volume, usually with just one earbud in and never blow off the lifties or my chair partners.

If I’m doing bumps or working on a smooth technique I listen to something that has a good rythym. If I’m just skiing along I usually listen to something mellow and relaxing.

Do you like to ski or snow board? Also whats your favorite ski resort and what state is it in?

Friday, April 30th, 2010

I like to ski and my favorite ski resort is Okemo, Vermont. Whats yours?

I love to ski, but I haven’t been in a long time… *sadness* …and my favorite that I’ve been to is probably Keystone and Arapaho Basin in Colorado. If I could choose any place to go skiing though, it would be Banff in Alberta, Canada!!

it is important that you sellect proper management team for your company from proper management background.

what is the best way to position snow board bindings?

Friday, April 30th, 2010

I ride regular, but it seems my weight wants to sit in my back foot. Whats the best position so it sits in the front foot?

Your weight goes where you put it. A lot of beginners put their weight on their back foot because they’re afraid to put it up front. I’m not saying for sure that that’s you, but it’s something to think about. You could try riding goofy to see if that helps, but there’s really no position that will help.

Edit: What don’t I get? Of course binding angles are all about preference. And I suppose it’s possible that for each person one angle might be better than another when it comes to where they’re putting their weight. I assume though that the asker uses pretty typical beginner angles and really doubt that it has any affect on their weight distribution. Possible I guess, but even if it had an effect, it’s still up to you (the asker) to put your weight where it needs to be.
